Digostics Team
Hugo plays a pivotal role in shaping Digostics' strategic direction, spearheading business development initiatives, bolstering the management team and driving fundraising efforts.
After leaving Saatchi, where he built London’s largest technology portfolio that included a young Microsoft, Hugo founded and co-founded seven ventures across communications, software and digital, one of which grew from 3 to 85 people within three years. After earning his Sloan Fellowship at the London Business School, where he focussed on nurturing small, rapidly expanding businesses, Hugo lent his talents to two accelerator programs, one of which he established.
In 2004, Hugo was diagnosed with diabetes. This development fueled his passion for making a difference in the realm of chronic diseases, leading him to establish the Chronic Foundation, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to sparking innovation in diabetes. It was through this endeavour that he met James Jackson, the founder and CEO of Digostics.
At different stages in his career, Hugo has donned multiple hats - entrepreneur, mentor, Non-Executive Director (NED) and Chairman - for several rapidly expanding firms within the healthcare sector. However, through this time he has always remained committed to and engaged with Digostics, and its forerunner SmartSensor, because he believes, diabetes prevention can only happen with the more accessible and effective screening that Digostics now provides.
